Dr. Anne Farrell assisted with the creation of the new K-12 Physical Education Sequential Guidelines for K-12 in conjunction with Carol Lynch, the current President of the New Jersey Association for Health, Physical Education, and Dance (NJHPERD) and select New Jersey K-12 health & physical educators. The first edition will be distributed at the Health Conference in December and then at the NJAHPERD Convention in February.

Jill A. Bush, Ph.D., CSCS*D, FACSM, Associate Professor in Health and Exercise Science is a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as national organization dedicated to helping people worldwide live longer, healthier lives through research, instruction, certification, and educational programs. She also serves on the Editorial Review Board for the organization’s journal “Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise”. On November 6, 2015 in Harrisburg, PA, at the regional conference, she was elected by the membership to serve a two-year term on the Executive Board of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference (MARC), a region of the national organization, American College of Sports Medicine. During this term, she will work closely with other members of the Executive Board to organize the content of the next MARC conference in November 2016. She will organize the abstract submissions for poster and oral presentations as well as work with volunteer abstract reviewers to determine the presenters for the undergraduate, master-level, and doctorate-level research presentation award nominees. The aim of the regional conference is to foster the professional and educational development of students and to promote the dissemination of health and exercise related information from ACSM National through the scientific resources within MARC.
