About Ron Anello

Headshot of Ron Anello.I was born and raised in Montclair, New Jersey. I attended the Montclair Public Schools graduating from Montclair High School in 1976. As a student at The College of New Jersey, then Trenton State College, I was a Health and Physical Education major. I was a member of the Football Team and the Sigma Tau Chi Fraternity. After graduation from TCNJ in 1981, I embarked on a forty year career in education. I began my career as a teacher of Health and Physical Education at Montclair High School, and then Snyder High School in Jersey City, while coaching football, basketball, baseball, and softball throughout my teaching career. I then accepted a teaching position at West Essex Regional High School in North Caldwell, New Jersey and became the Head Football Coach. Upon leaving West Essex, I became the Department Chairperson of Health and Physical Education at Wallkill Valley Regional High School in Hamburg, New Jersey. I then moved on to Clifton High School in the same capacity while also serving as the Head Football Coach. In 2011, I accepted the position of Director of Athletics and Activities at Ramapo High School in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, until my retirement in December of 2021.

The education that I received at TCNJ, (TSC) thoroughly prepared me for the classroom, athletic field, and in my supervisory and administrative capacities.

I am a proud alumnus of The College of New Jersey. As President of the Kinesiology and Health Science Alumni Association, I am extremely excited and looking forward to connecting with our KES Alumni, Faculty, Staff, and Students.
