Data collection for a study investigating the effects of aerobic exercise prior to resistance exercise was just completed. The purpose was to examine if 4 different aerobic programs (differing in intensity and duration) affected resistance exercise performance (i.e. number of repetitions, power, and velocity during each repetition) when the resistance program was performed following the aerobic program compared to a control condition where no aerobic exercise was performed prior to resistance exercise. The data have not been analyzed yet.

Construction is already underway to modify the space for the new Student Human Performance Lab (SHPL) which will now contain a learning center (classroom) and provide majors a location to learn and conduct movement based labs in the same location. Anticipated completion date is Fall 2016.
